Took my little 13 foot RIB boat down the South entry point of the creek last night.  Had some good success on a carolina rig with ~20" leader using a 7" power worm plum color.  The water is quite murky (for this lake) for obvious reasons.  The fish were up very tight along the shoreline.  The best part was about 30 minutes before dark.  We got about 5 on a topwater frog right at the intake where the current was strongest.  Quite an exciting night.  Nothing very bid but fun nevertheless!

Also had some good luck two weeks ago at Dripping Springs where the North Creek (I think its Sand Creek) feeds the lake- again on carolina rigs in a similar fashion.  My friend caught a nice little 19.5" which weighed in around 5.5lbs on a shaky head.  Also had a big one actually jump out of the water at the boat trying to take my spinner bait.  I've never had that happen before.

Both of these lakes have me fired up for this summer.

Best of Luck!

Had some luck along the dam in the weeds on Bixhoma on Tuesday.  Nothing huge but healthy and biting.  Used watermelon rind worms.
