| I have never heard of bowfishing with a crossbow. I would assume that the rules are the same, but increasing velocity in bowfishing does not produce any kind of great advantage. The hard-core bowfishermen I know all shoot bows with 40-50 pound draw weights (really light). I am not sure of how you would set up a crossbow dart to accept a bowfishing line and still fire correctly/effectively. Plus, you'd have to really do some custom modification to fit a reel or line spool on a crossbow. Not saying it can't be done, but it will not be easy. |
